Paris raised · New York sharpened · Tel Aviv inspired
I grew up between Paris, New York and Tel Aviv — three cities that shaped my eye for style, culture and the people who make a place interesting.
I started my career in Paris as a booker at Metropolitan Models, learning fashion from behind the scenes before moving to New York to earn a B.A. in Communication at Columbia University.
After Columbia, I interned at Vogue and later joined Condé Nast, working in marketing strategy across fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle.
Over the years, my work evolved into advising brands on positioning, digital strategy and storytelling, while I kept doing something I had always done naturally: collecting the places worth knowing.
- The florist I would actually call.
- The restaurant worth crossing town for.
- The beauty address that lives up to the hype.
- The shop you almost don't want everyone else to discover.
That became Karen Kooper | The New York Edit.
This isn't an exhaustive directory. It's a personal edit of the people, places and experiences I believe deserve attention.
I don't believe best always means most expensive, and I don't believe popularity automatically means quality.
Taste is personal. Karen Kooper is mine.
