How this guide is made
What is checked, what is sourced, and what is illustration.
Selection
This is a personal edit, not an exhaustive directory of every florist in New York. Candidates are drawn from established floral publications — Petal Republic, Thursd, Elite Traveler and goop — and from borough-level business listings, then narrowed by editorial judgement: sourcing, conditioning, craftsmanship and how a shop handles a small order.
Verification
Every address, telephone number and set of opening hours in this guide was checked against the business’s own website and its Google Business Profile on August 18, 2026. Where the two disagreed, the business’s own site takes precedence and the discrepancy is noted on the entry. Founding dates are used only where the business itself states them.
Ratings and prices
Star ratings and review counts change constantly, so they are not published as evergreen facts. Published starting prices are attributed to the publication that reported them and carry the date of that reporting.
Imagery
The photographs on this site are AI-generated editorial illustrations. Each one depicts the kind of work a shop is documented as doing — a funeral spray, a dried-flower bench, a hand-tied gift box — and none is a photograph of any business’s premises, staff or actual arrangements. No image carries a shop’s signage. Any business featured here is welcome to supply its own photography and we will replace the illustration.
Independence
No business pays to appear in this guide. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored entries and no fee to be listed or removed. Nothing on these pages is an advertisement.
